Sprinkler irrigation applies water similar to rainfall. Distributed through a system of pipes, water is sprayed into the air through a sprinkler head so that it breaks up into small water drops which fall to the ground. From field crops and vegetables to orchards and vinyeards, sprinklers are used for irrigation and frost protection. Different flow rates, coverage, angles and trajectories result in uniform water distribution for optimum coverage.
